Talea day centre

The services for people with disabilities managed by Città Azzurra offer a stimulating and welcoming environment, characterized by relationships that are as family-like as possible. Here are assisted people who, thanks to the support and help of qualified personnel, can find answers to their primary and affective needs, developing their personal, relational and social autonomy.

The presence of large and equipped environments promotes the acquisition, development and maintenance of skills, which can be realized in the collaboration within home management activities, in active participation in cultural initiatives and socialization inside the house and/or in outdoor spaces, in joining leisure activities also organized by groups and associations operating in the territory, in the maintenance and recovery of a state of psychophysical well-being.

The Talea Day Care Center is a service that was opened in September 2022 managed by
Cooperativa Città Azzurra in collaboration with the Authority for Social Services of Bolzano (ASSB).

It hosts ten youth aged between 19 and 23 with different disabilities who attend the center from 8.30 to 15.30.

Desire to belong: autonomy

Our service offers youth the opportunity to improve the quality of life by supporting their potential in a relational climate that promotes socialization. Youth have the opportunity to carry out activities that guarantee development in the different areas of autonomy thanks to an individualized path attentive to the needs and abilities of each.

These activities are thought and designed to strengthen the sense of belonging to a community and to foster the personal growth of each of them, supporting the autonomy and the development of new social and individual skills. There are practical life proposals such as, for example, emptying the dishwasher or doing the washing machine, setting the table or going shopping but also more structured activities. During the educational day the students can choose among the various proposals what they prefer to do.

The Center also involves external professionals who, for several hours a week, contribute by offering dance therapy, art therapy, music therapy, orthotherapy and many other scheduled activities. The space is set up constantly and periodically with the youth, to ensure that it can reflect their preferences and needs, as well as those related to the activities carried out.

Where are we and who can access it?

The new socio-pedagogical day center for people with disabilities in via Bari 46/a is located in a semi-central area, full of commercial and public services. The spirit and atmosphere that characterize the structure are those of a real home, a place of life where you avoid any medicalization of spaces, furniture and relationships.

Recipients of interventions of the service in question are the persons referred to in art. 3.2.3 of Resolution no. 795 of 18.07.2017 and ss.mm.ii. of the Provincial Council and in particular: adults with disabilities who have reached the age of 18 years or have completed compulsory education; students with disabilities in the form of traineeships organized during the last two years of compulsory education.
